Benefits to multiple parties
The new technology allows for the first time the coming together in live real time Auctions buyers and sellers anywhere in the world. Thus providing multiple benefits to all parties. Some of these benefits are listed below:
Buyers
Q. Does this replace a traditional auction?
For a Live Webcast Online Auction event it merely facilitates the bringing together of remote bidders (and possibly remote vendors) in conjunction with onsite bidders. An auctioneer will continue to conduct an onsite Auction as per normal. We work with the Agent/Auctioneer.
A Timed Auction can be run by at anytime independently without an actual physical Auction event. Customers bid eBay style but unlike eBay the Auction is actually conducted from your companies own website. You have complete control over the auction and every detail. Plus you do not have to share your bidders with any other company.
Q. What does it cost bidders?
That is completely up to you and your company
Q. How do I log in?
From the Auction portal supplied for your website. To participate in the Online Auction registered users will be able to view the auction in real time, from anywhere in the world. We suggest at a minimum you have an ADSL broadband connection.
Q. What software do I need to install?
None! As long as you have Flash enabled browsing.
Q.What can I expect to see at a Live Webcast Auction?
For a Live Webcast Online Auction simple dashboard showing live streaming video and audio from the actual Auction. In addition there is an easy to use Bid button with continuing live price updates from all onsite and online parties. A full multi-dimensional viewing of the item/asset will also be accessible at all times.
Q. What happens on Auction Day for a Live Webcast Auction?
For a Live Webcast Online Auction simply login with the username and password and you're ready to go. This is the same process for both the Online auction administrators and bidder. Once the auction starts you will be able to make bids based on the auctioneer’s direction. This is done by simply clicking the ‘Bid’ button. Any onsite or online bids will be updated on your dashboard. If you are the successful bidder you will have this confirmed by seeing SOLD at the conclusion of the auction.
Q. Is there any online delay?
From our experience, it is crucial that delays are kept to an absolute minimum. Our service has an average delay of a third of a second which will not impact on the successful receipt of your bid. We are proud to confirm that we are the fastest live webcast provider in Australia. This has been made possible from the progressive work from the Webtron Solutions Group who spent many years testing all webcast technologies available to develop the best solution.
Q. What happens in the event my internet goes down?
When your internet connection is re-established, log straight back into the auction.
Q. How do I register?
Just register online. Once you have been approved to bid by meeting bidding, deposit and legal requirements. The website will provide all the necessary documentation for bidders.
Sellers
Q. What benefits does a Webtron Online Auction offer me?
Enables bidders and vendors, whom cannot or do not want to personally attend the auction by virtue of their personal commitments, remote location (including overseas location) or need to remain anonymous, to still take part in either a Live Webcast Auction or a Timed Auction.
Q. What other benefits can I expect?
Webtron Online Auction provides agents and vendors the opportunity to add additional interest, extra bids and higher selling prices.
Q. Does a Webtron Online Auction replace a traditional Auction?
No it does not. Webtron Online Auction merely facilitates the bringing together of remote bidders (and possibly remote vendors) in conjunction with onsite bidders. An auctioneer will continue to conduct an onsite Auction as per normal or choose to run physically independent Timed Auctions.
Q. How does a Live Webcast Auction work?
Combines the use of internet technology with the auction event. Webtron Online Auction live webcasts the auction as it happens. A webcast streams live video and audio to offsite bidders. A large LCD monitor at the Auction updates all onsite and online bids.
Q. Does this change anything about the onsite Auction?
Not really. Live Auctions have a rich history in Australia and New Zealand. A Webtron Online Auction merely enhances a traditional auction thereby complementing and upholding Australia’s and New Zealand's historic link with live auctions. Your buyers can be certain of the legitimacy and trust they want from an Auction event.
Q. Will I get a higher sale price?
Potentially, more bids and bidders will equate to a higher price. From our experience, offering your customers online auctions will achieve great sales, higher yields and more bids.
